Ginisang Sayote (chayote) is a straightforward Filipino vegetable recipe. It is easy to cook, healthy, and makes an utterly delicious lunch.
In a pan, pour the vegetable oil and use medium heat
Put the ½ lb. pork and cook it until it turns slightly brown
Now, add the garlic, onions and tomatoes
Sauté for a few minutes until tomatoes are wilted
Add the chayote slices
Season with fish sauce, salt and pepper.
Stir-fry for a few minutes until well blended
Pour in water and bring to boil
Cover the pan, lower the heat and let it simmer until the chayote are tender
Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish
Serve while it’s hot
